Our Staff
Miss Marjie
Marjie Matez Major is a Cherry Hill native and has been
dancing since the age of three. She graduated from Boston
University with a degree in physical therapy. Her background
in musculoskeletal rehabilitation has allowed her to bring
years of knowledge, training and experience to her dance
teaching. As a performer, Marjie danced with various
companies in the Philadelphia area and is a former
Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleader. She began teaching jazz/hiphop
classes in 1992 and created the preschool dance program at
Triple Threat Performing Arts Center in 1997. Marjie is also
a certified personal trainer and holds certifications in
pilates and yoga as well. “Teaching dance has allowed me to
combine all my areas of expertise and passions in the most
wonderful way. It is my goal to impart to my students a
sense of pride and respect for their bodies and to nourish
their souls with the joyful expression of dance.”
Miss Laci
Laci DeLuca is a Maple Shade native and has been dancing
since the age of seven. She has studied ballet, tap, pointe,
lyrical, jazz and hiphop. She has performance experience at
local community theatres and has performed in Philadelphia’s
Thanksgiving Day Parade. Laci realized early that dance was
her passion. She began teaching at the age of sixteen and
has been sharing her love of dance with students of all ages
since then. She currently is the director of the Sparks
Performing Dance Company here at Happy Feet.
Miss Cat
Caitlyn Catanella has her B.A. in dance from DeSales
University. While at DeSales Miss Cat was chosen to go to
Brazil where she had the chance to dance and study at the
choreographic center in Rio. Miss Cat has performed all over
the U.S. with a Tina Turner Review and performs in community
theatres throughout the area. Miss Cat currently works at
Beck Middle School and is the Artistic Director of Force
Modern Dance Company.
